Another very difficult winter. A time of sadness and loneliness. When I woke up this morning it was -8 degrees F. Right now it’s 3 degrees. Oh Allah, please give us strength!

It is the 25th Anniversary of Third Earth Visual Arts. What a long road it has been! Thanks to Allah for giving me the perseverance to stick with it all these years. So far the response has been overwhelming for the retrospective artbook. I’m very humbled.

I met up with Dai Sato and Shinichiro Watanabe once again but this time at BONES! Not only are they the greatest writer/director combo in anime, but BONES is the best studio! What a wonderful time! I’m going to be watching their latest project Space Dandy every week! Especially episode 13!!

Sometimes you have to learn lessons in life the hard way. I learned the hard way during this trip to Europe. Even when signs you think send you in a certain direction, you can still be totally wrong.

This is the hottest summer I can ever remember in Detroit! It has been a record heatwave of 90+ degree days. Heat like this is oppressive. Tempers run short. Not a good thing for a city like Detroit.

I’ve made another successful trip to Japan to end the year of 2011. This time it was a personal trip. I enjoyed a contented, relaxing time with friends. It was one of the best times I ever spent in Japan. As I get older, I find that the quiet times with friends and loved ones at home are a lot better than crazy nights at clubs and bars. I hope to continue to explore this in 2012, as I hope to become stronger in true friendships…

Thank you my friend…

There have been many deadly storms and natural disasters this year. One could say that they almost seem “biblical”. We will see if they get any worse next year when it will be 2012. Completed Martin Bonds album project titled, “The Melding” and working on Rick Wade’s new album. It should be released before the end of the year.

It has been a long time since I made a blog entry. It is not easy for me. I made another successful trip to Japan from April 29th to May 12th. Rick Wade and I had a few great parties and did some parties for charity. We wanted to support those who were effected by the earthquake/tsunami disaster from March 11th.

The annual electronic music festival is coming to Hart Plaza again this weekend. Although I haven’t been since they started charging money, there are 2 parties I plan on going to. I have 2 art events also. It should be a nice time!

In the future I will try harder to make more blog entries.
